About

I grew up in Minnesota with four brothers, and I think that probably shaped a lot of my personality. I’ve always liked figuring things out, especially when the answer isn’t obvious right away.

I’m now studying mathematics at the University of Minnesota and spending Fall 2026 at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. Over the last few years, I’ve become especially interested in the overlap between math, computation, and biology.

My research background started in wet-lab biology, but I’ve gradually become more interested in computational research and scientific computing. I’m especially drawn to problems that combine mathematical thinking with real biological questions.

Outside of school, I spend a lot of time hiking, reading, and making collages. I also like working on side projects and finding new places to explore, especially when I’m somewhere new.
